Introduction:
Lai Chau is a beautiful area with a special topography ideally suited for trekking: A large plateau at 1000 m above sea level, surrounded by thousands of magnificent limestone pics and inhabited by a large minority community: Lao, Lu, Nhang, Hmong and Dao. A by walking to visit their villages in the few days, we'll take our time to admire the unique landscape in this part of Upper Tonkin and traditional values offered by the mountain tribes . By the transition to Sapa after the trekking in Lai Chau, you can make another discovery of a famous region for its natural beauty and moeus and customs of other mountain tribes of Sapa: Black Hmong and Red Dao.
Itinerary in details:
Day 1: Ha Noi- Lao Cai:
Meet your Green Trail Tours guide and departure to the rail way station. Departure by train at night in comfortable cabins with softs beds
Day 2: Lao Cai - Lai Chau:
Arrive at Lao Cai in the early morning. Depart for Lai Chau. The road is beautiful, lined with magnificent mountains covered with lush vegetation and rice terraces. We go up to Sapa for breakfast and then again on the way to Lai Chau. In Tram Ton pass , the Road reach its peak over 2000 m elevation and provides a magnificent view of the summit Fansiipang (the highest in Indochina 3143 m). Down way gently towards the valley of Binh Lu then around noon, we arrive at our hotel in Lai Chau. After lunch, we take a walk in 3 hours to discoversomes villages near Lai Chau, inhabited by the Hmong. Nice meetings in villages hidden in the hills. Overnight at hotel
Day 3: Lai Chau - Trekking
The day is devoted to our work in 5 hours to explore tribal Hmong, Dao, Nhang in a beautiful region with impressive landscapes. Many picton sharp bristling on the set of rustic villages and property nestled at the foot of the rocks ... Picnic. Then back to our hotel
Day 4: Lai Chau - Trekking
We start in the high mountains todiscover of the Hmong area. The latter settled in the mountains above more than 800 m, live burn cultivation and leading to some extent their traditional lifestyle: nomadic. Wevisit during our trek somes villages covered stubble, completely lost in the jungle and a population that lives far away from modernity. To 4 hours in the afternoon, we finish our walk by a gentle descent .. Overnight at hotel
Day 5: Lai Chau - Trekking - Sapa
The day is easier with just 3 hours of walking in the morning. We walk on the flat to join the Hmong villages in the valley and then to meet Dao peoples in beautiful clothes. Back to our bus and transfer to Sapa in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Sapa.
Day 6: Sapa - Trekking - Ma Tra - Ta Phin - Sapa:
Free time for the morning. After lunch, we go trekking on paths to explore off the beaten track somes villages near Sapa. The road passes through areas inhabited by the blacks Hmong who grow their rice in the rice terraces located on the edge of our path. We will end our trek to a village called Ta Phin inhabited by the Red Dao fonr their crafts of good quality. Back to Sapa. Night in hotel
Day 7: Sapa - Trekking - Lao Chai - Ta Van:
You first need to sneak through the market and leave behind the busy city. After a few minutes you are on a downhill road in the village of Y Ling Ho. . You'll also enjoy the spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. You get to Lao Chai village of Black Hmong, where you can take a rest while you are served lunch nearby river. After lunch, you head Muong Hoa valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong and then Tavan village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route. Overnight in local house of Giay minority. You can stroll to enjoy the view over the valley and bathe in the nearby river
Day 8: Ta Van - Trekking - Su Pan:
After breakfast, you begin today's trek, which is mostly uphill until lunchtime. Every time you stop for a break, you can enjoy views of the valley. Before noon, we stop again at a nice place for lunch. We return to our hotel in Sapa. Free times after noon.
Day 9: Sapa - Ham Rong - Cat Cat - Lao Cai
We visit the Cat Cat village inhabited by Black Hmong in the morning and afternoon, climb on Mount Ham Rong which gives a beautiful view over the town of Sapa. Departure to Lao Cai late afternoon for the station. Departure by night train to Ha Noi
Day 10: Ha Noi
Arrive in Ha Noi. Tranfer to your hotel.
