Day 1: Hanoi - Maichau - Van homestay

Pick up from your hotel to depart for Maichau. Stop over at Luong Son town for break and photography of the Hoa Binh moutain ranges. Arrive in Hoa Binh where we have a short tour to discover the biggest hydro electricity station in Vietnam. After crossing the Cun and Thung Khe mountain passes, we enter the Mai Chau valley where we have lunch at the village. We pick up our cook at Khoe and we start walking from there to Van village ( 2 and half hours ). Dinner in local homestay while learning about  this village from the stories of the house owner. Overnight in Van village. ( L, D )

Day 2:  Van Village - Kim Boi

After breakfast, we farewell the local villagers then we have a short walk to our waiting Van. Depart for Kim Boi. Kim Boi is an untouched destination for travelers other than the local people of the surrounding provinces. Kim Boi means 'Golden Cup' in English. It has a small population of mostly Muong and Thai hill tribe people. The specialty of Kim Boi is a hot spring stream which is the source of a brand name of mineral water. Plenty of Vietnamese travel here for health treatments because of that natural hot stream. Arrive in Kim Boi and check into V-Resort. Free in the afternoon for some of our recommended activities such as wandering around the village, biking to the local popular hot spring area or simply relax and enjoy your resort facilities with swimming pool or natural hot spring spa. Dinner and overnight in Kim Boi. ( B, L, D )
 
Day 3: Kim Boi - Hanoi

Breakfast at your hotel. More time to relax at your resort before heading back to Hanoi. Transfer to your hotel. ( B, L )

Detail Itinerary
Day 01 Ha Noi - Arrival

Arrive at Noi Bai Airport where clients will be met by our tourist guide and transfer to Hoa Binh province ( 75 km from Ha Noi). Enjoy ethnic performance. Overnight in Hoa Binh.

Day 02 Hoa Binh - Hang Kia

 Leaving Hoa Binh we climb towards the Mai Chau valley, Trekking Mai Chau about two hours away, stopping on the way to take in the spectacular scenery. 01 hour trek through forests to make "warm" then have lunch in Xa Linh. From here start 3-hour trek to Hang Kia. Your hosts for this evening will be the H'Mong minority people. In sampling these peoples' hospitality, you find out a little more of their lives and cultures with a cultural exchange following the evening meal. This night's accommodation could probably be a little more rustic than you would be used to ( 5 hours trekking).

Day 03 Hang Kia - Pieng Ve village
Breakfast with the family and setting off on a 7-hour trek. On the way stop for a picnic lunch of sandwiches and fruits. Around 16h 00 we arrive at Pieng Ve Village inhabited by the Muong people. Our good cook will treat you to a fine meal, Our outstanding guide will tell you stories of life in Pieng Ve village. The hosts will share their home brewed rice wine with you and traditionally offer a toast or fruits to your good health and happiness

Day 04 Pieng Ve village - Ban Buoc
After breakfast trek 4 hours to Ban Buoc village. 12h 30 Arriving at the new hosts who are Thai. With lunch finished there will time for a short siesta or to stroll down to the river before embarking on a 3-hour walk around villages and meeting villagers along the way. After an afternoon of cultural insights you will return to Ban Buoc village ( there will be a opportunity to freshen up at the river before the sun set. In the evening following dinner, you will have the opportunity for more cultural interaction.

Day 5 : Ban Buoc - Ban Cum

After breakfast start 4-hour trek from Ban Buoc to Ban Cum where you have lunch. You have the afternoon to wander around one of the most picturesque Thai villages in Mai Chau valley. This evening is spent in Ban Cum ( White Thai village).

Day 6: Ban Cum - Lac village

After Breakfast start 4-hour trek from Ban Cum to Lac village - The "Tourist center" in Mai Chau. Here you can have variety of choice to buy traditional souvenirs for your family and friends. In the afternoon you are free to wander around villages. This evening after dinner you enjoy Thai music and dance. Overnight in Lac village ( White Thai village).

Day 7: Nanh village

From Lac you go 30 minutes by car to Go Lao where you start 2-hour trek to Da river. This day you will see a beautiful waterfall in Go Lao on the way trek to Da river. After 2 hour trek transfer to a boat. Cruise the river for 2 hours. lunch on board. Afternoon start 2- hour trek to a Dzao village. Dinner and spend night at the Nanh village.

Day 8: Nanh village - Hoa Binh

Breakfast. Retrace your steps back to the boat. Cruise 2 hours to Ban Voi. Lunch on board. Afternoon continue 3-hour trek to Hoa Binh. This day you will have chance to admire picturesque view of Hoa Binh reservoir on the height of 300 m. This evening you have dinner and enjoy traditional Muong orchestra. Overnight in Hoa Binh Hotel ( Hotel on stilts).

Day 9 : Hoa Binh - Ha Noi - Departure

Have breakfast at 7.30 and leave Hoa Binh at 8h 00. Arrive in Ha Noi at 10h00. Have city tour. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon go to Noi Bai airport for Departure.
